RADIOLOGY CASE REPORTS
Selected cases will be presented for your evaluation. The studies may or may not have abnormalities. Use the scroll bar or arrow keys to carefully evaluate the films.

Diagnosis: Blastic METS C5 Verteral Body.
Discussion: There is exuberant anterior ankylosing hyperostosis noted at the C5, C6 disc level. This is an innocuous finding. However, if you look closely at the C5 vertebral body, you will notice patchy opacification of the C5 vertebral body, particularly when compared to the levels above and below. The is abnormal and represents blastic deposit.
Follow-Up Protocol: After a through history and physical examination, attempts should be made to to obtain previous films for comparison. If unchanged when compared to old films, no follow-up is warranted. However, if there is change or old films are unavailable, a cervical MRI would be the most sensitive and specific follow-up study.
